Remembering and Rebuilding

 

For this project Picture Me Here teamed up with refugees and immigrants that are rebuilding their healthcare careers in Colorado. These are participants of the Colorado Welcome Back program, of the Spring Institute for Intercultural Learning. This program helps them rebuild their careers and/or find other opportunities that utilize their skills. Each participant was paired with a personal mentor/collaborator from the Picture Me Here team that helped them through the writing process, collecting old photographs and creating new ones. Then we recorded their writing as an audio story and combined all the elements into digital stories.
