In the video above, ten of our participants at Emily Griffith Technical College share their favorite photographs. Check out each of their videos below to hear their thoughts on photography, storytelling and the images they selected to share. This was our most diverse group yet... a mix of refugees and immigrants of all ages and backgrounds, from teens to elders. They come from over a dozen countries. Some have been in America for over 20 years, some just a few months. These participants were inspiring and inspired. They patiently helped one another. They took a genuine interest in one another's stories, photographs and cultures. They practiced photography and writing, learned photo editing, how to archive and organize their photographs using the cloud, and they learned a bit of stop motion animation. We had a great time! This project was made possible by a grant from Colorado Public Television CPT12 and will be featured in a documentary they are currently producing on the power of storytelling.
